My father used to tell me the fundamental rule for any great recipe is having the best ingredients. Italians are very proud of their food heritage and have for centuries been passing down from generation to generation their nutritious recipes. They use the freshest tomatoes and herbs straight from local friends or farmers and some of the best suppliers of regional meats, cheeses and wines in their local region.
